FCF Pay’s X account has been suspended due to misreporting about its supposed “partnership” with Honda, which the car manufacturer has denied. Honda does not accept cryptocurrency payments directly, but it is possible to buy a Honda car using cryptocurrencies through a third party. Several publications mistakenly reported that Honda had started accepting crypto payments, but the company clarified that these reports were incorrect. While Honda does not currently accept direct crypto payments, FCF Pay allows people to use cryptocurrency payment platforms to purchase Honda cars, as well as cars from other brands like Mercedes, BMW, Ford, Nissan, and Mitsubishi. FCF Pay settles payments through a payment aggregator, using the same payment rails as cash transactions. The service is currently available in the United States, but FCF Pay is working on expanding to other regions. The company aims to onboard more companies and corporations for direct crypto payments and hopes that governments will recognize the benefits of facilitating crypto payments for businesses. FCF Pay’s X account suspension may have been influenced by accusations based on fake news circulating about the company’s partnerships. FCF Pay is in the process of rebranding and may expedite the switch if its account remains blocked.
