The funds raised by HashPort will be used to support the firm’s global expansion efforts, particularly in navigating complex regulatory environments. The funding round was led by Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, The University of Tokyo Edge Capital Partners, and Yusaku Maezawa. This brings HashPort’s total funding to $14.2 million. The company’s ecosystem includes blockchain consulting and system solutions, as well as a public chain specializing in nonfungible tokens (NFTs). HashPort also plans to launch a metaverse game called The Land Elf Crossing. In addition, HashPort aims to collaborate with Expo 2025 to develop digital wallets and passports linked to soulbound tokens (SBTs). This partnership has the potential to introduce Web3 to over 10 million visitors at the expo.
