Private key manager Casa has launched a transaction relay feature for its Ethereum users, providing them with enhanced privacy when transacting from their personal vaults. Casa introduced a multisignature Ethereum self-custody vault in June 2023, allowing users to secure their ETH holdings with up to five private keys. To offer more transactional privacy, Casa has now introduced a mechanism that enables users to use an ETH pay wallet as a relay to create and transact from their vault. This new feature allows users to carry out actions such as deploying contracts and sending transactions while fronting gas costs, without their Ethereum addresses associated with Casa being publicly viewable. However, the ETH pay wallet does not provide anonymity or obfuscation of on-chain activity. Users are required to cover gas fees with their pay wallet in exchange for added privacy.
